Keeyono the blue

wizard

It all began thirteen years ago inn the village of Ra-Galim-No-Tule...on a faithful night, a horrible storm had swept over the land. This storm sent mighty bolts of lightning to wreak havoc upon the poor villagers who believed the God's were punishing them for a crime unknown. The winds carried upon them eerie whispers that spoke to a woman who was the mother of a young boy, her name was Yenmay, and her son was Keeyono. She followed the wailing of the gusts of wind to a high mountain that over looked the village.
According to what Yenmay believed...the God's had summoned her to bring her child here. She sat him down and begged the deities for mercy upon the town and that she had done what they had wanted. Suddenly a bolt of lightning came from the sky, twirling the wind around it as it descended.
The electricity and wind had formed a being of energy and gale. The being resembled that of ghostly woman that was surrounded by thick fog, as if a dress and lightning that wrapped around her like fine cloth. She spoke to Keeyono by thought, giving him reassurance of her presence.
"Keeyono, son of Yenmay and seed of Talius...I mean you no harm..." She reassuringly smiled as the thoughts drifted within the boy's mind. "I came to tell you of your gifts...however...I need you to to rescue my family..." Yenmay was unsure of the figure that hovered above the soil..."Woman, whatis your name?" "My name? I am Silpheed...Spirit of the Squall....I apologize mortal...your son is the only way to save the other three spirits that watch over this village." She spoke to Yenmay telepathically. "And my son? How is he to help you when such a storm looms over his home?" "I will call off the storm, but he must promise to save my brothers and sister...or I will have no choice but to destroy this town in order to do so myself..." "Alright...but how when he is so young?" "That mortal...is up to time...he will grow into his gifts in time...when he comes of age he may then rescue the other spirits..." "Very well, I give you my word...the boy need not promise...for he is too young to understand these affairs............." Silpheed vanished and the storm became once again a clear, starry, night...leaving only the words,"I will hold you to your promise...." that flowed in the mind of Yenmay.

9 YEARS LATER....

Keeyono walked the streets of Ra-Galim-No-Tule, his eyes sought on a simple errand for his mother. He bought the items on a list his mother had written out with money obtained by bartering vegetables to the local market. All was going well until the a scream shrieked from a street across from him. A lady had been stabbed by a man who was wearing a cloak. Keeyono laid the items in the care of the shopkeeper who was a friend of the family and ran after the culprit. When he reached the woman...he realized to his horror...it was his mother... She whispered to Keeyono,"The mountain...go to the mountain...when you are...." her last words were enveloped in a final gasp...then only silence came from the once gentle lady. Keeyono got up quickly with tears in his eyes and pursued the murderer. A fire burned within him that never had been there before...rage...he wanted to punish, no...kill the person...
It didn't take long before he was outside town limits, the cloaked man threw off his disguise. It was drow...why were they here? He didn't care for questions...he sprung upon him...but was hastily knocked aside with a bat of the fist. Suddenly...a blue flame began to form around Keeyono's hands. The drow backed up a bit, scared to death of the boys frightful power. Keeyono lost control of his body...it seemed it was possessed with the need to kill.
Keeyono yelled angrily and a ball of fire had formed in his right hand as the blue flame hopped from the other hand. He, without hesitation, nor mercy, threw the ball of fire upon the drow. The murderer tried to run, but the fire on impact had engulfed his whole body into ashes.
When it was over...Keeyono lost conscientiousness and fell to the ground. He awoke on the mountain that looked over the village...brought their by Silpheed.
"You are quite powerful boy...you may be able to help me yet..." She once again spoke mentally. Keeyono began to cry,"Who are you?! Where is my mother?!" "Your mother died...dear boy." "No...it can't..." "You might as well move on child...she was destined to die anyways...why do you shed tears for those already dead?" "But...you're so cruel...how can you say that?" "I assure you...she's in a better place...but in light of the inconveniences...I'll let you whine for a while...come here again if you are ready to help me...so no one else has to die..."

2 WEEKS LATER....

He lived on the mountain top for two weeks...and sadly he realized he had to move for his mother's sake. He had slept under the stars and he knew well the Silpheed had left food for him so that he wouldn't die. He knew he was ready...and had thought endlessly on what she was going to ask him. "SILPHEED!!!" Keeyono shouted," I AM READY TO AID YOU!!!" With those worlds Silpheed appeared in her usual manner. "I apologize boy for what I had said about your mother..." She apologized," I was out of line...I sometimes forget how frail you mortals really are...but I too share a pain caused by the ones who slew your mother..."
"Tell me Silpheed...Spirit of the Squall...what is it you wish?" "For you to release my family from the bindings that keep them from protecting this village." "Why is the village so important the the ones who killed my mom?" "Because of you..." "What do you mean?" "The assassin sent after Yenmay had gotten word late of your birth...you see...they thought she hadn't given birth to you yet..." "I see...so they are fools? So how did they manage to trap your family?" "I do not know..."
Silpheed hovered around Keeyono and then came to a stop, facing away from him. "Keeyono, son of Yenmay and seed of Talius...there..." She pointed towards the woods just beyond Ra-Galim-No-Tule,"There is where they hold Una, Spirit of the Torrent, my sister." She then raised her hand towards a cave due west of the village, just along the nearby river. "That is where you will find Gargous, Spirit of the Quake, my oldest brother." Silpheed turned slightly and pointed at the lake north of town. "Finally, Saliumsa, Spirit of the Inferno."
"Use your powers...they will grow in time...but I know you've been practicing that fire trick...don't forget that you only lucked out the first time...take this..." Silpheed clapped her hands and a staff appeared in her hands with a flash of sparks. "Take this...a Wizard is only good with this..."
IT TOOK HIM 2 YEARS AFTER THAT TO FIND AND SAVE THE TRAPPED SPIRITS. SILPHEED, UNA, GARGOUS, AND SALIUMSA ALL WERE ABLE TO WATCH OVER THE TOWN EQUALLY ONCE MORE. KEEYONO BEGAN TO PRACTICE HIS POWERS AND DECIDED TO TRAVEL THE LAND IN SEARCH OF A WIZARD TO LEARN FROM.
HIS BATTLES AGAINST THE BAND OF THIEVES HAD DESTROYED THE STAFF SILPHEED HAD GIVEN HIM. HE LEFT THE LAND AND FOUND HIS WAY INTO MIDDLE EARTH. WHERE HIS MISSION WAS TO SEEK A WIZARD OF OLD TO TEACH HIM THE WAY. HE HAD TO ONCE AGAIN OBTAIN A STAFF AND EARN HIS ROBES.
AFTER 2 MORE YEARS HE HAD FOUND GHELDAR THE BLACK...AND SOON BECAME KNOWN AS KEEYONO THE BLUE BECAUSE OF THE COLOR HIS MAGIC MIMICKED.
